“The Notary of the Year designation is the highest honor bestowed upon Notaries Public in the United States,” said Phillip Browne, the NNA’s Director of Communications. “As an honoree, Ms. Boaman exemplifies the ideals of integrity, impartiality, selflessness and public service—all important qualities of a Notary Public as they protect Americans from ID theft and document fraud.”

Honorees are chosen based upon their achievements in notarial performance, community service, providing notarial services to the less fortunate, working to enact needed legislation, and promoting the role of a Notary Public.
Boaman is recognized for her consistent efforts to promote education, responsibility and ethics in the notarial profession, plus extensive community service with www.MetroRelief.org, a non-profit that maintains a food bank and provides other free services to those in need.
