Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- SIMI VALLEY, CALIF.--The Simi Valley Family YMCA is looking for young adults to staff its aquatics program in spring and summer.

Lifeguards must be 18 years or older with CPR, AED, first aid and lifeguard training preferred. Training and certification classes will be provided for swim instructors as well as for lifeguards without all the required certifications.

"Being a YMCA aquatics staff member is a very rewarding experience," says Andrea Isbell, Simi Y's aquatics director. "Instructors teach young swimmers water safety and swimming techniques that are the foundation for lifelong swimming enjoyment. Lifeguards have the important responsibility of ensuring swimmers are safe and behaving properly in and around the pool."

Shifts are in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. The YMCA pool is indoors so year round positions are available.

For more information, contact Andrea Isbell at 805-583-5338, vzyno ext. 236, aisbell@simiymca.org.
