Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Duco Global enjoyed Sunday nights Super Bowl and like millions around the world watched as the Baltimore Ravens emerged victorious. With a spectacular and eagerly anticipated half time performance from Beyoncé complete with Destiny’s Child reunion it’s safe to say that the Super Bowl has been a huge topic of conversation this morning.

With millions tuning in to watch the Super Bowl each year, we see big name companies vying for those much sought after advertising spots.  The idea is to create a clever, memorable advertisement and brands have been known to draft in celebrities to create exclusive ads to premiere at the Super Bowl event. Brands whose advertisements featured at this year’s Super Bowl event included Oreo cookies, VW, Mercedes, Budweiser, Old Spice, Doritos, Hyundai, Samsung and Kia to name but a few.  The advert for quirky company Wonderful Pistachios even cashed in on a recent trend by enlisting the help of Korean ‘Gangnam Style’ singer Psy.

The advertisements at the Super Bowl are popular and favorites often trend on social media long after the event. Duco Global Ltd agrees that the advertisements are part of the fun of the Super Bowl and when done well can provide an instant global following for the brands involved.

Duco Global Ltd can see why companies are desperate to secure that big spot in the Super Bowl ad break, but at what cost? This year, a 30 second advertisement at the 2013 Super Bowl will have cost your brand a cool $4 million dollars with costs steadily rising over the years due to the increasing popularity of the event.
The rising expenses of advertising at the Super Bowl do not seem to be putting big brands off however. According to Forbes, researchers at the University of Colorado found the reason. Brands continue to purchase airtime at the Super Bowl is that simply announcing their involvement can ‘bump up their stock price’.

Duco Global Ltd began following American Football when the Managing Director spent some time in America. Duco enjoyed this years Super Bowl for several reasons including the hilarious advertisements that were featured and look forward to watching many more Super Bowls in years to come!
