Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Pet owners and their pets can breathe a little easier in Washtenaw County. Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Washtenaw County (http://www.restorationannarbor.com/) will donate pet oxygen masks to the Wastenaw Area Mutual Aid Association (WAMAA).  A presentation of the new equipment will be held on Tuesday,February 5 at 9:00 a.m. Michelle Milliken, Paul Davis’ Marketing Manager, will present the donation to WAMAA at Huron Valley Ambulance, 1200 State Circle in Ann Arbor.

According to Brian McCall, Paul Davis office owner, his company will donate pet oxygen mask kits in three different sizes for large, medium and small pets during each month in 2013 to WAMAA for distribution to local fire departments.  “These masks are specifically designed to fit over the muzzle of an animal and allows animals to receive pure oxygen after exposure to a fire and smoke inhalation,” said McCall. “We know that pets are important members of many local families. When we learned that some of the local fire departments don’t have the valuable masks or don’t have the funds to purchase the life saving masks, Paul Davis decided to assist and donate the kits to every station in need of them,” he said.

The Washtenaw Area Mutual Aid Association (WAMAA) currently has 23 member fire departments.  Membership includes more than 700 local fire personnel.  The equipment pool includes 65 engines, 15 ladders, 28 tankers, 34 brush trucks and 31 rescues.  The Association serves all of Washtenaw County and parts of Western Wayne, Oakland, Lenawee, Monroe and Livingston counties.  The Association also promotes interaction between support agencies and other emergency response agencies.  Visit the website at www.wamaa.org (http://www.wamaa.com/)

McCall’s donation is part of the annual Paul Davis Restoring America program that helps local individuals and families in need. The Paul Davis office is located at 105 Enterprise Drive in Ann Arbor.
