New Jersey Irish Soda Bread Competition
It's almost Saint Patrick's Day! A great northern New Jersey Saint Patrick's Day tradition continues...
Competitors are asked to arrive at Harley's by 4:00 pm. The actual judging will take place from 5:00-6:30 pm.
Harley's is a fun place to be on any day of the year, but this is a Bergen County Saint Patrick's Day seasonal event you do not want to miss. You don't have to bake to be a part of the fun. In fact, most members of the crowd are invited to participate in the judging. Be prepared for a competitive contest mixed with a lot of good-natured teasing and fun. There will also be bagpipers performing and other traditional Irish family fun.
Are you interested in entering the competition but don't have an Irish Soda Bread recipe to call your own? You may want to check out the Society for the Preservation of Irish Soda Bread (http://www.sodabread.info/
