Hargrave Military Academy & Marion Military Institute Form Guaranteed Admissions Agreement
Hargrave and Marion unite for a Guaranteed Admissions Agreement, clearing a path for graduating Cadets to continue their education and allowing them the opportunity to earn a U.S. Army commission upon graduation if desired.
“Marion is a significant opportunity for those Cadets who still desire the benefits of a structured environment after Hargrave,” said Don Broome, BG (USA Ret.). “Marion fills that role perfectly, and will be a tremendous advantage to those Cadets.”
Uniquely appropriate for Hargrave Cadets, Marion also participates in the U.S. Army's Early Commissioning Program, a two-year program which allows students to complete the Army's commissioning requirements during their freshmen and sophomore years of college and receive an Army commission as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation from Marion. In addition, Marion students are also offered the opportunity to participate in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC).
Located in Chatham, Virginia, Hargrave Military Academy provides Cadets in grades 7-12 a strong moral foundation through its unique and time-tested character development programs. Featuring a 99% college acceptance rate since 2001, Hargrave's focus is on preparing young men for success in post-secondary education and beyond.
Hargrave Cadets are taught to lead, given multiple leadership opportunities in the classroom, barracks, athletic fields, and stage.
