 American's eat 100 acres of pizza a day and soon you will be able to place your order online by going to www.1800COOKING.org.  The company has committed to donating 2% of all profits to Feeding America, a national network of over 200 food banks.  According to company president Don Campagna, "Everyday 50 million people don't know where their next meal is coming from.  We're going to make it easy for pizza lovers to help solve that problem."

 1800COOKING.org has launched a campaign on www.indiegogo.com to raise funds to purchase servers and software to handle the transactions.  Indiegogo is part of the "crowd funding" movement where individuals contribute to causes and companies they feel deserve support.  The process worked so well that over $700,000 was raised for Karen Klein, the bullied bus lady.

 "Our goal is much more modest." said Campagna.  "Online pizza is an $11.4 billion market and we're hoping to garner 1/10th of 1 percent.  That would equate to $11.4 million in annual transactions.  It's going to cost about $47,000 to get started."  The business plan calls for test marketing in Charleston, SC, followed by a national rollout.  "We'll be self sustaining the first year and coast to coast in four years." Campagna added.

 Feeding America supports 34,000 food pantries, 4,500 soup kitchens and 3,600 emergency shelters.  Every week 6 million people, including children, veterans and the elderly, are fed.  "My goal" Campagna summed up, "is that as we grow we can increase our contribution.  I'm confident the community will support us as we take on this critical cause."
