-- After a disappointing Autumn series Welsh rugby fans will be hoping that Wales can turn their fortunes around and return to the form that made them 6 Nations champions.
And with this year’s tournament kicking off this Saturday supporters in the city can catch all the action from Wales’ matches, along with the majority of the other games, as it unfolds live on Swansea’s Big Screen in Castle Square.
The opening day (2 February) sees Wales welcome Ireland to the Millennium Stadium at 1.30pm followed ooprc by England versus Scotland at 4pm, with Italy at home to France on Sunday 3 February, kicking off at 3pm.
The 6 Nations will be shown throughout February and March culminating with the tantalising clash between Wales and England on Saturday 16 March (5pm).
Frances Jenkins, Swansea Council’s Strategic Manager for Tourism, Marketing and Events said, “Castle Square provides the perfect setting for people to sit and enjoy sport on the Big Screen and always proves popular for the 6 Nations coverage.
Large crowds turned out to watch Wales’ Autumn Internationals and we are anticipating a similar turnout for this year’s tournament.”
