Handling Specialty Brings Zephir Electric Railcar to Canada

Jan. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Handling Specialty Manufacturing in Grimsby, Ontario, has added to its rail product line an environmentally-friendly, emission free, battery operated railcar mover engineered and manufactured in Europe for over 40 years, with over 500 units in operation in some of Europe’s busiest railyards.

Handling Specialty, which is a member of the Whiting family of companies, has been selling custom engineered and manufactured heavy duty equipment, including rail and transportation equipment, for 50 years. When the company was acquired by Whiting in 2011, Transportation Product Specialist Rick Breznik also joined the Handling team, thus bringing Whiting’s rail equipment to the company’s product offering as well.

Over the past year Handling Specialty has watched its sales of rail equipment – such as electric jacks, drop tables and other rail maintenance – rise, with recent sales successes in North America, South America, India and other locations around the world.
