Educational Breakfast For Captains and Brokers

Jan. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Fort Lauderdale, FL: Wednesday, January 30th 2013, : Unlimited Marine Services, Inc. (UMSI), a full service marine technology (http://www.umsifl.com/) company will be holding an educational breakfast, 8:30am-10:30am,  Thursday, February 28th at The Captain’s Lounge, Lauderdale Marine Center, 2001 SW20th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL33315,  on next generation marine automation and entertainment technology.
There will be two demonstrations during breakfast – firstly T-SAT Unlimited Marine Services’ Touch-Screen Monitor Matrix solution and G.U.E.S.T. – Guest User Entertainment Solution Technology.    

T-SAT, powered by Creston Electronics, provides elegant control of video sources throughout the vessel, resulting in improved efficiencies for captains and their crew.

T-SAT displays up to 64 separate high-definition video sources simultaneously. Using advanced touch screen controls,  video sources can transfer from one monitor to another with the slide of a finger,  to manage areas such radar, sonar, sounder, plotting systems, vessel monitoring systems, CCTV cameras – even lights, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, shades and the blinds onboard!

UMSI is delighted to have as their special guest – Will Knapp, Regional Sales Manager of Creston Electronics, Inc., who will be providing an overview of Crestron Electronics and its latest advances in the marine industry.

The second demonstration will be G.U.E.S.T., a new entertainment solution that will enhance any charter or megayacht “guest” experience.   This demonstration will be a preview and the official launch will take place at the Palm Beach Boat show. Using G.U.E.S.T., a passenger can expect to enjoy many benefits while on board.  Some examples include viewing the daily menu and making personal requests, viewing the daily activities, or weather information direct from any onboard monitor, whether it’s an interactive TV, iPAD or laptop. Should a fax or email arrive on the boat, the captain can notify the guest immediately through the in-cabin entertainment system.  Prior to going offshore, this new system can also provide valuable port information like when the boat will dock, what activities are recommended offshore and when the boat will be leaving for the next destination. The system even provides advance notification of Mecca prayer times.  The options of information are limitless and content can easily be updated and customized to suit each trip by the crew.
