STORIS to Debut eRoam, A Fully Integrated Mobile Application

Arlington, NJ – January 2013 – STORIS, a leading supplier of Retail Solutions and Services, proudly announces they will debut eRoam, a fully integrated mobile application, at the Las Vegas World Market. This new product is expected to be available for purchase by all STORIS Vision9 clients by the end of the first quarter of 2013.

STORIS hosted an exclusive Product Advancement Symposium focusing on the future of mobile applications. Attendees included a cross section of existing STORIS clients who expressed an interest in helping to shape the future of this exciting new product. “Our goal was to develop a robust fully integrated mobile application. We asked our clients to give us feedback on the areas of their business that require the highest priority for a mobile solution. From those discussions we were able to gain a viable direction, enabling us to proceed with research and development,” noted David Berger, Director of Product Management. Berger pointed out that over 80% of the top suggestions from the symposium attendees have been incorporated into the initial release of this product.

eRoam has been developed for an iPad and the product offering contains such features as creating and searching for customers and products; displaying product images and details; creating and converting shopping carts; scanning product labels; viewing customers’ current and historical purchases and available credit; and even emailing a copy of the shopping cart. eRoam will be 100% integrated with STORIS’ Vision9 platform. Retailers will be able to process with an omni-point of sale solution for the cross channeling of ecommerce, brick-and-mortar, and mobile application accessibility. Customers will be able to create a shopping cart on the retailer’s website, walk into a showroom and have the sales representative update the cart on an iPad. The cart can then be converted to a sales order, allowing for additional tasks such as product reservation, credit application submission, and delivery completion.
