Nationwide Innovation Challenge Launches to Find Next Great Inventor
Jaypro Sports celebrates their 60th anniversary with a renewed commitment to innovation and a unique contest.
For the past six decades, Jaypro Sports has been developing trendsetting products in the sports industry including the original adjustable outdoor basketball hoop and the recently released germninja sport ball sanitizer. Jaypro Sports will open their development resources to the public this year, by rewarding the creator of one innovative sports equipment idea the opportunity to have their concept researched, built, patented and licensed with the help of Jaypro Sports.
“Some of the best ideas for new sports products and solutions come from the people who live and breathe sports every day: school coaches, athletes and parents. We want to find the best ideas out there, and help those with great ideas turn their vision into a reality,” said Bill Wild, CEO of Jaypro Sports.
The Innovation Challenge will reward those with the most interesting, creative and useful sport-related ideas. The top six ideas will win an iPad. One grand prize winner will get to work side-by-side with Jaypro Sports to bring their idea to life. Ideas can be submitted to the Innovation Challenge now through July 1, 2013. Applications and more information can be found online at www.jaypro.com/
“We are proud to celebrate 60 years of quality products, strong customer service, and innovative thinking. And we can’t think of a better way to do that than by celebrating innovative thinking around the country,” said Wild.
Jaypro Sports is well known for creating the original products that solve real problems in the sports world. In 2012, Jaypro Sports embraced innovation with the production of the germninja (www.germninja.com), a cutting edge sport ball sanitizing machine that was used by the U.S. Olympic team in the London Olympics. The idea for the germninja initially came to Jaypro Sports from a volleyball player’s father who wanted to protect his daughter from germs on the court. Jaypro Sports was able to bring the germninja to life, and is now ready to find the next great invention in the sports world.
