If you have a lift truck in use in your facility that gets regular use, it is a good idea to have a fully trained and licensed technician look at your lift every 250 hours .
LP Forklift hours are often listed by key hours, the time the key switch is in the “on” position.
Electric lift trucks usually have maintenance intervals are based on “Pedal Hours”, a measurement of when the lift truck has the deadman pedal depressed.
Internal Combustion Lift Trucks Maintenance Schedule
**Per OSHA, Forklift Driver inspections must be completed per shift**
Forklifts items that should be serviced every 250 hours:
a fuel filter
oil change and filter
an air filter
lubricate frame and all lube points
Mast and Attachments
Engine Compartment (including fluids & filters)
Safety and cosmetic appearance
Every 500 hours change:
Replace points, condenser and set timing
Every 1000 hours change:
Hydraulic Oil and Filter
Oil and Filter in Transmission and Converter
Lube in Drive Hubs
Electric Lift Trucks will have slightly different maintenance intervals because they have less moving parts
