Patina Shoe Parlor to host its One Year Anniversary Party and 1st Annual Creative Showcase
A celebration will be held on Monday, February 4th at St. Joe Lofts, an artist community from 6-9pm. There will also be a creative showcase featuring artists from around the city. Complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Alexander Bourne, proprietor of Patina Shoe Parlor, said he decided to take the necessary steps to create awareness for local individuals and small businesses that emphasize art, culture and fashion lifestyles. In accordance with Bourne’s values for small businesses, he has teamed up with local artists and establishments around New Orleans to expose their work and goods. Featured vendors include Lindsey Rouselle, Guy Lyman, Bekye Fargason, Sterling Frame Studio, NOLA Fashion Council, Spa Isbell, Madison Avenue of Fashions, Paris Parker Aveda Salon and Spas, Nola Flora, Bourne’s business partner Henry Torrence, fashion designers Andrea Loest and Ashlie Ming, St. Joe Lofts artist and many others.
Patina Shoe Parlor is a shoe and purse repair boutique founded by Alexander Bourne in 2012. The store focuses on providing a necessary service to New Orleanians while limiting environmental impact. Patina Shoe Parlor does so by offering the convenience of a pick-up and delivery service. In addition, Patina Shoe Parlor encourages the reuse and repurpose of leather goods to reduce waste.
