A licensed attorney, CPA, or credentialed investment advisory representative (IAR), or registered FINRA representative is the first qualification.  A minimum of five years of active employment is a credential professional in field of financial services is required.  Also required are acceptance of new clients, favorable regulatory and complaint history review and the review is based on internal firm standards.  The criteria considered are the client retention rate over one year and a five-year retention rate.  The number of client households served and the amount of discretionary and non-discretionary client assets administered are considerations when selecting award nominees and recipients.
