PLANET GIVES CAMPAIGN

Sculptor and Students from South Florida design “FIAT Inspire”

Doral, FL (November 20th, 2012) –  Planet FIAT in Doral, today announced that as part of its latest community initiative it has donated a FIAT 500 to Sculptor Juan Carlos Toca to paint, design and Sculpt the work of art he will create titled “FIAT Inspire” together with the art students of Pinecrest Academy. On Nov. 27, 2012, between 9a.m. and 1p.m. Juan Carlos Toca and the students will be hard at work finalizing details of the FIAT Inspire at Pinecrest Academy located at 15130 S.W. 80th Street.

“We are extremely excited about having Juan Carlos Toca and the Art students from FIU and the Pincrest Academy design our next FIAT. We are eagerly waiting the unveiling on Dec. 13th,” says, Carlos Rodriguez, General Sales Manager of Planet FIAT.

The unveling of the one-of-a-kind FIAT Inspire designed by the sculptor and the students will take place on December 13th at 7 p.m. at the Planet FIAT Studio located at  9975 N.W. 12 Street in Doral. The event will also showcase the works of the Artist Cary Lozano. A portion of the evening’s sales proceeds will benefit His House Children’s Home, a private, non-profit, organization dedicated to restoring the lives of children by providing residential care for abused, neglected and drug-exposed children in a home-like setting. The agency is licensed by the Florida Department of Children & Families. Since its inception, His House has enriched the lives of over 4,500 children.

Earlier in November, Planet FIAT announced its community initiative to help local charities and schools in South Florida while promoting the Arts. The program consists of hosting a series of events that will feature a myriad artists, designers, musicians, performers from the community to help raise donations as well as awareness for a number of causes, local charities and schools. All presentations will be held at the Planet FIAT Studio located at 9975 N.W. 12th Street in Doral.

December 16th 2012

From 11am to 4pm, there will be Community-wide Food and Toy drive to benefit His House Children's Home and the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots. All food items collected will be delivered in a Motorized CONVOY to His House Children's Home ministry at 5p.m!

January 2013

Art in the PARK...ING Lot, will showcase the works of students from the Florida International University among other artists that are soon to be determined.

February 2013

All That Jazz, will have performances by New World School of the Arts Jazz Band. There will also be a silent auction of items that are being donated by a number of sponsors. Proceeds or funds raised will benefit the Miami Children’s Hospital Craniofacial Department.

About Juan Carlos Toca

Born in Puerto-Rico in 1966 by Cuban parents, Toca began his artistic life at the tender age of 16.

Throughout his teenage years he dedicated his talents to creating art, building and sculpting what

could be seen to many today as classic timeless pieces by a master.
