Laurence Hayward Appointed To 10x Technology Board of Directors

Jan. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Libertyville, IL - 10x Technology, LLC appoints Mr. Laurence Hayward to its Board of Directors.  10x Technology, LLC (10x) develops and manufactures micro- and nano-structured polymer substrates. 10x's products range from micro-needle arrays for transdermal drug delivery to Fresnel lenses for solar concentrator systems.  The company serves five core segments including Energy, Transportation, Electronics, Government and Medical.

Mr. Hayward serves as a Partner at Independence Equity, a venture capital fund that holds an equity position in 10x Technology.   In addition to his work at the Fund, Mr. Hayward is founder/CEO of VentureLab, which advises early-stage companies, and he is co-founder/director of Cornerstone Angels, a private network of angel investors.  Previously, Mr. Hayward served as Managing Partner for SCIUS Capital Group and President of entrepreneurial start-up Vcapital.  Prior to Vcapital, Mr. Hayward served as international marketing director of Arthur Andersen’s Enterprise Group, a business unit dedicated to middle-market and venture-backed companies.

Mr. Hayward earned a Joint BS/MBA from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana. He serves on the Mentor and Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program of the Chicagoland Entrepreneur Center.  He serves on the Advisory Boards of several Chicago-area companies. Mr. Hayward is an active member of the Angel Capital Association and Cleantech Venture Network, an environmentally focused investor network. He also volunteers his time as a guest lecturer, panelist, and business plan judge for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, DePaul University’s MBA program and his alma mater. He holds a Series 7 license.

The founder of 10x Technology, Mr. Robert Pricone, led the team that commercialized micro-prismatic retro-reflective sheeting for high brightness traffic signs, which are now the de-facto standard worldwide.
