Orlando’s Stoneybrook is among America’s 5 Hottest Neighborhoods of 2012 on Realtor.com

Jan. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Stoneybrook, the gated golf community in East Orange County, was ranked in the top 5 “hottest” places to live in America. The list is compiled by Realtor.com, the official site of the National Association of REALTORS®. The Realtor.com website is visited by nearly 23 million consumers each month.

Stoneybrook has nearly 1,400 homes and numerous amenities besides golfing. It has a state-of-the-art fitness center complex with a gym and social activities rooms, an Olympic-sized pool with a separate toddler’s pool, four tennis courts and running paths with a Vita Course.  The athletic fields accommodate a basketball court, a baseball/softball field and a soccer field.

Darin Stewart, President of the Stoneybrook HOA Board of Directors, does not find the ranking surprising. “Stoneybrook has a wonderful livability with unparalleled amenities and an active social calendar for residents,” says Stewart, “and it is beautiful and well-kept. We do everything in our power to manage our community as smartly as possible.”

Residents of Stoneybrook feel a real bond with the community and actively participate in community events. The homeowners association hosts a variety of seasonal events including breakfast with Santa for children, a carnival-like celebration called “Fall Festival in the Park”, and Oktoberfest. Ongoing events include movies in the park, televised football games and popcorn in the social center, and adult wine tastings—which include food lite bites and a personal wine sommelier.  

The community has been managed for more than fifteen years by Sentry Management. Michelle Paul, the on-site Community Manager, contends that it is the wisdom and commitment of the Board that has made all the difference. “I think recent sales results are the proof of their diligence. The number of houses sold increased by 19 percent in 2012 and the average sold price increased by 6.6 percent. That is significantly better than the Orlando metro area.”
