PRLog -- In the last few months since hurricane Sandy may homeowners that were flooded raced to have the interiors affected by flood waters demolished, removing sheetrock and insulation. Many of these homes did not have baseline mold sampling or have qualified mold remediation companies perform the work. Dust and viable mold spores were unknowingly spread through out the house and now months later could be causing Indoor AIr Quality problems. In many homes the moisture levels were not reduced prior to rebuilding thus the moisture may have been trapped in the walls causing future mold problems and the possibility having to re-do all previously completed storm restoration. Painted walls and new sheetrock could hide potential problems. Environmental Systems is Licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health ( NJDOH) for indoor air quality testing. Environmental Systems (depenvirosystems.com)
can provide a mold inspection of the home prior to sale to determine interior mold levels. If excessive mold levels are Identified, the buyer can request that remediation and re-sampling be completed prior to purchase. If elevated levels of Mold are identified, resampling is not recommended until some corrective remediation is completed.
