Join Vapur® and Polar Adventurer Eric Larsen at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market

Jan. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Join Vapur (http://www.vapur.us), designer and manufacturer of the innovative Anti-Bottle, at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market (ORWM) to hear polar adventurer, Eric Larsen, recount his Cycle South expedition, a first ever bicycle traverse of Antarctica to the Geographic South Pole. Jonathan Dorn, editor in chief at Backpacker Magazine (http://backpacker.com), will interview Larsen in the Wenger booth #25001 at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24.

Event attendees are invited to enjoy beer, bring questions for Larsen and enter to win a snow bike and other prizes from event sponsors, including Vapur Element and the not-yet-released Vapur Eclipse Anti-Bottles.

Vapur sponsored Larsen on his attempt to complete the expedition. Having covered 175 miles, Larsen had to make the decision to turn around before he reached his goal as surface snow conditions prevented him from covering enough miles before his food and supplies ran out. While Larsen did not complete the expedition, the journey was still a success resulting in an Antarctic distance record for the longest bicycle journey in Antarctic history.
