Expansion includes lengthening the main assembly line as well as adding space for additional assembly operations and parts receiving. Production of this model will also help to improve the overall efficiency of the plant’s parts logistics operation. Trial production and hiring will start later in the spring and summer, according to company spokesman Ron Lietzke. The 2014 hybrid sedan will be the third hybrid model Honda has built in America.
