Always Best Care launched its Free ABC Rx Discount Prescription Card program to help combat costs

Jan. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Last year, Always Best Care Senior Services launched its Free ABC Rx Discount Prescription Card program to help combat the rising costs of prescription drugs and to assist those who are either completely without medical insurance or are underinsured. The Free ABC Card itself is not a type of insurance, but a substantial discount program that can save those with no coverage or restricted coverage up to 65 percent on prescriptions at over 56,000 pharmacies nationwide.
The average retail prescription cost written using the Free ABC Rx card in the 2012 fiscal year was $57.11, and users paid an average of only $20.99. That results in average savings of $36.12, or 63.2 percent. Nationwide those savings total $237,695.

If you already have insurance, you may be able to use this card to get a lower price on prescriptions or medications that may not be covered by insurance at all.
