Beatriz Ball Collection Awarded Top Prize in Tabletop Category of ARTS Awards for the Third Time

Jan. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- NEW ORLEANS, LA January 21, 2013—Dallas Market Center,and the Accessories Resource Team (ART), the trade association representing the decorative accessory industry, announced New Orleans-based metalware manufacturer, Beatriz Ball Collection, winner of the 24th Annual ARTS Awards in the Tabletop Category. The company was awarded the same top prize in 2012 and 2010.

The ARTS Awards is the premier awards program for the home decorative accessories industry, and recognizes excellence from retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers. The awards are presented “Golden Globes” style at a glamorous gala event held during the Dallas International Gift and Home Accessories Market. This year’s gala took place at the ARTS Awards’ new location, the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

This year marks the sixth year that Beatriz Ball Collection was nominated in the Tabletop category, and the third time that the company was awarded the prize.

More than 600 guests attended the ceremony that recognized ARTS Award winners in 26 different categories.

Beatriz Ball Collection, founded by New Orleans’ Beatriz Ball, has achieved its place as the premiere manufacturer in the field of fine handmade metalware through innovative designs in a special lustrous alloy of many metals. The company displays its product in showrooms and trade shows in major markets across the country, and is offered for select retail sale in gift and specialty stores in the United States and abroad.

This year marks the sixth year that Beatriz Ball Collection was nominated in the Tabletop category, and the third time that the company was awarded the prize.

The distinguished panel of judges for this year’s awards consisted of Melanie Belew, interior designer and owner of Belew Design Studio; Cheryl Holland-Bridges, director of the Center for Retailing Studies and executive professor of marketing at Texas A&M’s May Business School; Ignaz M. Gorischeck, vice president of store development at Neiman Marcus; Jena Hall, president and CEO of Jena Hall Associates; Leslie Newsom Rascoe, who helped launch VERANDA and held various editorial positions including fine arts editor and decoration and design editor; and Susan Inglis, producer, importer, sourcing agent and broker in the home furnishings, fashion and gift industries.
