“It’s an interesting story,” AJ began. “After reading the ‘50 Shades of Grey’ series with some of my girlfriends, a kind of unofficial book club, I made the statement, “I was unimpressed by the series and could probably write better books in my sleep,” to which my friend replied, ‘Prove it. I bet you can’t.’ So I accepted her challenge and wrote a book. 3 books actually, with 3 more in the works.

When asked why she thought the book was received with such enthusiasm, Harmon replied, “I love a good romance and I’m always looking for a great love story. I’ve read hundreds of them, from the classics to the most contemporary, and I made sure my book had all the things I want in a good romance novel; a 3-dimensional woman with real struggles and hidden strengths, a knight in shining armor and some hot, passionate sex.”

Asked if she’d won the bet, “I’ll let the readers be the judge of that. I know I’ll never bash another author again.
