Flip Flop Shops Retail Franchise Concludes Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Jan. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- VANCOUVER – In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Flip Flop Shops locations throughout Canada raised $1,603 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to help create a future without breast cancer and encourage consumers to be proactive and maintain regular check-ups.

The campaign ran throughout October 2012 and allowed consumers to receive a pair of pink SANÜK Ibiza flip flops for a minimum $5 donation, with all proceeds directly benefitting the foundation. Participating locations included: the Calgary and Edmonton shops in Alberta; the Coquitlam, Nanaimo, Kelowna, and Vancouver shops in British Columbia; and the Saskatoon shop in Saskatchewan.

“I want to give a big thanks to the Flip Flop Shops Canada family; everyone really came together and did a remarkable job spreading awareness of our campaign. Breast cancer is a complex disease with no known single cause, and will affect one in nine Canadian women during their lifetime. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, it’s estimated that nearly 23,000 women and 200 men throughout Canada were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.
