By: Richett Media GRAND RAPIDS, MI (January 17, 2013)- Thousands of students, educators and administrators from around Michigan will participate in the 8th Annual Michigan Music Conference Center at DeVos Place this weekend. The three-day event brings together music teachers and students K-12 to collaborate, educate, and advocate for arts education in Michigan classrooms. The event includes innovate teaching workshops, public performances by local school choirs, bands, orchestras, and nationally acclaimed music speakers. “The quality of Michigan music education is respected by music professional all over the United States. Michigan sets the bench mark in many ways for music education from kindergarten through college,” says Virginia Kerwin, Chairperson of the Michigan Music Conference and Executive Director of Michigan School Vocal Music Association.
