Xiaolei B. Zhang joins the firm as an associate. He received his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law in 2009. Mr. Zhang recently earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2012 with high honors. Before he obtained his electrical engineering degree, Mr. Zhang worked at a law firm in Boston. In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006, with extensive coursework in biochemistry. He interned at Dow Corning/Hemlock Semiconductor as well as Massachusetts General Hospital. His practice focuses on helping clients with the procurement, licensing, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Mr. Zhang is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
Matthew J. Stark also joins the firm as an associate. He received his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006 with high honors. Prior to his legal education, Mr. Stark earned a Master of Science in Architecture in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1997 from the University of Michigan. Mr. Stark has experience as an associate patent attorney working at other patent law firms, including Merchant & Gould. His practice includes patent prosecution, conducting evaluations of patent portfolio value, as well as trademark prosecution. His litigation background includes many aspects of intellectual property and commercial litigation.
