Chevrolet’s “Find New Roads” Campaign Will Extend the Automaker’s Reach
Chevrolet is working to align all aspects of its global operations behind a single unifying vision.
Find New Roads will be the automaker’s touchstone as it creates new vehicles and technologies, which will be available in over 140 markets worldwide. Innovation and a commitment to customers are the hallmarks of the new initiative, a point echoed by Chevrolet’s senior vice president of Global Product Development, Mary Berra, who said, “Find New Roads embraces the spirit of ingenuity that has been in Chevrolet’s DNA since the beginning,” adding that that spirit will continue to guide the automaker in the future.
With Chevrolet looking forward to more than 20 vehicle launches around the world in 2013, this is an ideal time for Find New Roads to come into play. In fact, an early vindication of the strategy is the Cruze mid-sized sedan, which was Chevrolet’s first truly global vehicle — it was launched in 2009, and the automaker’s sales have increased by 38% since that time.
Find New Roads is also already having an effect on the retail experience the automaker offers. In addition to aligning itself with a newly formed advertising agency — Commonwealth — Chevrolet has launched a program to provide training for dealership personnel with an eye toward improving customers’ retail experience.
