-- Recently, Legal Centre has discovered that in the UK less than 40% of adults have a will. This is a shocking figure and something that Hermione Avila, Customer Service Manager for Legal Centre, plans to change. “We think it’s really important for each and every person to have a will so families can be allowed to grieve the loss of their loved one rather than worrying about their will or lack thereof”.
So why don’t people get this important document sorted?? A recent poll by Legal Centre shows that the top reasons for not having a will are that a)it’s too expensive to get a solicitor drafted will; and b)don’t have the time. Legal Centre have therefore decided to make January 2013 a “will awareness” period.
On top of that, in order to combat the top reasons listed above, Legal Centre have slashed the prices of all their solicitor drafted will templates by 50%. What’s more, Legal Centre’s downloadable will templates are very easily edited and can be completed in under 15 minutes – so no excuses that you don’t have time to see a solicitor!
Legal Centre is also offering free will templates to the people who share their post on Facebook (find it here: http://www.facebook.com/LegalCentreUK/posts/191613444318152
) and retweet their will awareness tweet on Twitter (find it here: https://twitter.com/Legal_Centre/status/291189380842921984
). All part of Hermione’s master plan to raise awareness on social media sites. “Most people seem to think that you need to be retirement age or older to worry about a will but the fact is that as soon as we reach adulthood we have dependents, debt or assets that must be dealt with on our death”. With the highest percentage of Facebook users (29%) being between 18-25 it’s a good place to start raising awareness.
Legal Centre’s will templates have recently been revised by a specialist solicitor to ensure that they are up to date with all current legislation and every document is backed up with a guide to help you complete your document. Visit http://www.legalcentre.co.uk/wills/news/free-will-templat...
