Jan. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- (Greenbelt, Maryland) - The Sports Zone (http://www.spzn.com/) and 9-year-old Rapper Chi Chi Monet (http://www.chichimonet.com/) have teamed up for “Get Kids Movin!” Part II on Saturday, January 19 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt, Maryland. This event is designed to prevent and raise awareness of childhood obesity, in a fun way, while using the arts to display kids fashion and fitness techniques.

“Michelle Obama’s ”Move” campaign made me want to get involved, and I want to help end childhood obesity, because I want everyone to be healthy, exercise and stay in shape,” Chi Chi Monet said.

Get Kids Movin will be co-hosted by Chi Chi Monet and Soul Singer Reesa Renee, and will include
-on-site dance instruction by Lelabelle’s Dance Studio,
-a healthy eating conversation with Singer/Fitness Instructor Green Tea Soul (http://www.greenteasoul.com/),
-performances by Soul Singer (Apollo Champion) Reesa Renee (http://www.reesarenee.com/) and Chi Chi Monet,
-dramatic skits about obesity and exercising by youth from Dreams Work, Inc (http://www.wemakedreamswork.org/).
-Album signing of “Reelease” (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/reelease/id554463637) by Reesa Renee, and
-Music by DJ Heat (http://www.djheatdc.com/) of WPGC 95.5 FM.

Kids and families are welcome to attend this free event outside of the Sports Zone in Beltway Plaza Mall, located at 6000 Greenbelt Road.

Get Kids Movin! is a part of an overall campaign by Chi Chi Monet to ensure that her peers are active and healthy.
