MCCJ To Honor South Florida Leaders on March 2nd

Jan. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Miami, Fla., / -- Since 1946, MCCJ has awarded the coveted Silver Medallion to outstanding leaders who have exhibited extraordinary humanitarian efforts in our community that mirror MCCJ’s mission of creating an inclusive community.

The 2013 Humanitarian Dinner will honor Merrett Stierheim, Ruth Shack, T. Willard Fair, and Peter Dolora.  In addition, MCCJ will posthumously honor Tony Goldman and award The Clergy Medallion to Rabbi Gary Glickstein.

WPLG Local 10 anchor, Calvin Hughes, will host the event along with Chair Hilarie Bass and Honorary Chairs Richard and Colleen Fain, Tony Argiz and Cesar Alvarez.  
   
The black-tie event will include a reception, seated dinner and after-party at The Four Seasons Hotel.

MCCJ was founded in Miami in 1935 as the Miami Coalition of Christians & Jews.  It creates a safe haven for dialog, trains inclusive leaders and promotes understanding for all faiths, races and cultures through education, advocacy and conflict resolution.
