Daniel Carlson first joined Shifman & Carlson, P.C. in 2008 and has since grown substantially and gained valuable experience. Over his years of practice, he has acted as general counsel to a variety of organizations, political campaigns and governmental bodies. Mr. Carlson obtained his undergraduate degree at Kalamazoo College in 2005 and then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the Ave Maria School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2008. Mr. Carlson gained additional expertise by completing the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program and received his certificate of completion.

Currently, Mr. Carlson is a member of several notable associations including the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association, Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys and the Federal Bar Association. Apart from practicing law in the Michigan courts, Daniel Carlson is also admitted in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and the District of Columbia.
