The goal of the march is to demand immediate action on common-sense gun legislation. For moms who are unable to attend the events in New York City and the Beltway, One Million Moms for Gun Control chapters are planning local rallies and marches on Sat., Jan. 26. For example, the greater Boston-area One Million Moms for Gun Control chapter is planning a march at the State House. In addition, One Million Moms for Gun Control will launch a national social media campaign called “How do you wear your heart?” on Sat., Jan. 19, to help moms across the country creatively express their collective desire for new and stronger gun control laws. Members will be provided with templates for a signature heart, which they can pin over their heart and wear publicly in support of One Million Moms for Gun Control.
