Jan. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Acworth, GA – Dawn Hood, aspiring writer and mother of three, was recently published by InknBeans Press with her new children’s book, God’s Pinky Promises. Written in a personal, interactive style for children, this seven-chapter book introduces Bucky and Scoop, two delightful and friendly garden tools who help children navigate through the Bible and begin to understand God’s personal promises.

Each chapter is divided into sections accompanied by the colorful artwork of Ron Wheeler. Built around the concept of playing in the dirt, there are five components to each chapter:

“Scratch the Surface” introduces a truth about God
“Move the Dirt Around” explores how that truth is personal to us
Uncover Something New” helps your child see God in a new and personal way through prayer
“Dig a Little Deeper” encourages your child to read other Scripture verses related to that truth
“Pack It In” provides one specific memory verse to help internalize that chapter’s truth

Throughout the seven chapters in this book, children will begin to study the Bible for themselves, and begin to understand how the whole of God’s Word points back to His passionate pursuit of relationship with us.

God’s Pinky Promises is available in paperback and on Kindle through Dawn’s website at or on Amazon at
