Punjab looking to develop new cities & entertainment hubs’ says Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal Deputy CM

Jan. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Lavasa (district Pune), January 9, 2013: Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Shri Sukhbir Singh Badal visited Lavasa today to get a first hand view of the city development.

Speaking to media Mr. Badal said, “The visit to Lavasa was part of a nation-wide tour that he has undertaken to study city development work being done in different states. The plan he said was to replicate the modern city development model and also develop new entertainment hubs in Punjab.”

Mr. Badal, recently visited Alleppey in Kerala and said he plans to visit other such cities in Gujarat and Chhattisgarh to understand the process of creating new urban habitats and entertainment centres.

Lauding Lavasa Corporation Limited for creating “wonderful infrastructure” in such a short span of time, Mr. Badal said, “The development at Lavasa is amazing. Lavasa is a classic case of modern urban infrastructure that meets the need of fast urbanizing India”.

Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Shri Sukhbir Singh Badal during his visit to Lavasa held discussions with Mr. Ajit Gulabchand, Chairman and Managing Director, HCC; Mr. Rajgopal Nogja, Group President, Development Companies, HCC and other senior company officials.
