The comprehensive news and research website for older Australians was hacked yesterday and put offline.

Jan. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- 9 January 2012 (Brisbane, Australia) – The SeniorAu (SeniorAu.com.au) website was attacked by hackers late Wednesday morning Australian time and put off line.

The hacker left a message in place of the home page inferring that the website had been hacked. All of the SeniorAu web news services were brought down and the site is inaccessible.

All attempts to restore the the site were unsuccessful and it continues to be unavailable.

Further attempts will be made to restore the site, with prospects of success at this stage not looking promising.

SeniorAu is a non-commercial, non-profit site providing the only up to date on-line news service on major issues and government policy for older Australians.

SeniorAu's intention is to produce information which is relevant and interesting to seniors. Much of what affects seniors is based on, or is influenced by Government policies at the Commonwealth, State and Territory level. Consequently, a proportion of the content of SeniorAu will talk about government policy and government performance related to seniors' matters.
