-- The Santa Clara University School of Law Board of Visitors is comprised of alumni and non-alumni who meet with the Dean of the school once a year to discuss the focus, direction and future of the law school. The group also makes suggestions regarding the present and future concerns of the legal community in the area, and plays a critical role in the creation of a relevant educational experience. Attorney Habbas was invited by Donald Polden, the Dean of Santa Clara University School of Law, to become a member of this prominent group. Of this recent invitation, Attorney Habbas says “To serve with a group of such distinguished and respected scholars, attorneys, congressman/
women and present/former Judges in the Superior Courts, Appellate Courts, U.S. District Courts and the California Supreme Court is a privilege and honor and I look forward to contributing to the advancement and continued success of SCU Law School."
Over the past 25 years, Attorney Habbas has gathered a wealth of legal experience in personal injury law. Prior to founding his own firm in 1987, Attorney Habbas worked for the Law Office of William McCann and even became a junior partner. Over the years, he has volunteered his time and legal experience to various organizations and is a member of the Consumers Attorney of California (CAOC), formerly known as the California Trial Lawyers’ Association, the Santa Clara County Bar Association (SCCBA), the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA) and the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ). Attorney Habbas also volunteers his time as a court-appointed arbitrator.
