RelyLocal Announces Hiring Two New Community Leaders to Grow Local Campaign
RelyLocal is pleased to announce and welcome the addition of two new community leaders and business owners to our local marketing and sales team in Matthews, Mint Hill and Indian Trail.
McDonald joins RelyLocal from Carolina Weekly Newspaper Group to serve as the Community Partner for the Rely On Matthews campaign to work with local businesses in the Matthews and Mint Hill area. McDonald brings 20 years of sales and marketing experience to RelyLocal. Her proven track record of helping local business owners make wise marketing and advertising decisions to fit their budget has added to her success as a marketing professional.
Verrastro joins the RelyLocal team to serve as the Community Partner for the Rely On Indian Trail campaign to work with local businesses in the Indian Trail and Matthews (Union County) area. Verrastro was co-founder and business partner for Guided Hands Wellness Spa founded in 2010, and brings her working knowledge and understanding as a successful business owner by helping other local businesses maximize their marketing and advertising dollars with the constraints of a limited budget.
Local entrepreneur Nancy Bradley is the driving force behind the local movement. She brings 20 years of marketing, communications and advertising expertise to the local grassroots campaign. “I see it as a great way to help local business owners with their marketing and advertising efforts to help grow their businesses,”
Locally-owned businesses are the backbone of our community. RelyLocal helps to strengthen those communities by linking neighbors in a web of economic and social relationship, and contributing to local causes. Bradley added, “While supporting local businesses, we are taking initiative to rebuild our local economy by encouraging people to Rely On local businesses “first” in their community.”

As a leading organization advocating for local independent businesses and locally-owned franchises, RelyLocal is a community campaign for Matthews, Mint Hill and Indian Trail that serves two complementary goals: a member-based organization for local businesses; and, local people in the community educating residents about the importance of rebuilding our local economy.
RelyLocal is a nationally-recognized grassroots marketing campaign started in July of 2012 as a local movement in Matthews, Mint Hill and Indian Trail. The organization was originally founded in Oregon as a local movement to help local businesses be competitive with national chains and big box stores, as well as to create, promote, and protect local jobs.
