Jan. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- The long-awaited 2012 anthology against domestic violence, Soul Vomit: Beating Domestic Violence, has been released by Broken Publications. After a year of planning, marketing, gathering submissions, and raising awareness, this Western Washington indie publisher announces further that 70% of net proceeds will be placed in a donation fund and local domestic violence organizations evaluated for need to receive a donation. The minimum goal is $500.

Submissions were collected from all over the world including England, Africa, and Ireland, as well as all over the United States. This diverse collection of works includes poetry, art, short fiction, essays, prose, photography, and even an illustration. Globally displayed photographer Eleanor Leonne Bennet provided the cover photo.

Realistic, sometimes graphic, and encouraging strength, the works collected in this anthology are presented in a way that eases the reader into the subject matter while fully illustrating the process of abuse: you have no idea it's happening at first. As the first anthology, the subject matter is fairly broad and contains a wide range of perspectives and types of abuse.

The anthology features work by numerous writers and artists:

Henriette Eiby Christensen, Victoria M. Reynolds, Morgan Gallagher, Thelma T. Reyna, and Frances Pauli, Bernard Hafeli, Katherine Shirley, henry 7. reneau, Enigma, Brenda L. Turner, E. K. Keith, Deborah R. Majors, Kelly Baker, Eliska Hahn, Richard Stokes, Bob McNeil, Maria Edmonds, D. Smith, Michael K. Moore, Melissa Salazar, Karen Jones, Katie Rendon Kahn, Diesta Kaiser, Mari Maxwell, Faith Ruppert, Virginia Jekanyika, Logan Fisher, and Timothy Pina.
