Abstract:
Now-a-days dashboards are more pronounced in business world since it facilitates deep investigation on the sales scenario.  But has anyone given a thought of bringing in this excellence into Mainframes? Is it possible in the user interface of mainframe? In this paper, we have provided a business solution to increase the sales percentage of a company by implementing the dashboard strategy in mainframes. The technicalities present behind the performance of the officers are taken into consideration and the same are used to depict a dynamic graph thereby making it visually strong. The traversal between graphs is achieved through drill up and drill-down approach. This approach elevates the level of user interface in Mainframes.

ANALYSIS AND SIMULATION OF PWM CONTROLLED BUCK-BOOST AC VOLTAGE REGULATOR

Abstract:
Thyristor controlled method in AC voltage regulator has very low dynamic response and discharge large amount of harmonic components. PWM Controlled Buck-Boost AC Voltage Regulator can efficiently and economically be used in low and medium power applications in the advantage of design simplicity with operation reliability in a clear withstand of naturally commutated schemes. It has very fast response speed, low harmonics component distortion and high power factor. This paper propose a voltage controller with output peak voltage and reference as feedback signal and adopts PID control strategy to regulate the output voltage. In this paper, simulation of PWM Controlled Buck-Boost AC Voltage Regulator is presented using PSIM software. The waveforms of input and output voltage and current, the power factor characteristics are discussed and verified.

DATA MODELING BASED ON USAGE ANALYTICS IN MAINFRAME CICS APPLICATIONS

Abstract:
If you query the phrase 'Preference Data Choice' on the Internet, you may find a range of text focusing on technology frameworks to support customer decision, software to manipulate data and professional 'quick tips' to attract customers. Internet marketing means an unrestricted opportunity to inundate the customers with comprehensive product information. It gives the customer a sense of choice over product selection they view on a website can result in a more positive view of the company, thereby making them more likely to buy the product. A Human-Computer Interaction should devote more attention in helping the users to make better preferential choices. The more you involve the customers in selecting an item from a category of same type, the more they grow attached to the company. It goes to an extent that they become resistant to negative information about the product.

INTERACTIVE GUI IN CICS MAINFRAMES

Abstract:
Mainframe, being one of the oldest technologies being used, is seen as one which can serve only as a back-end to applications. An unappealing user interface is by far the most apt reason for this. The GUI can be improved by incorporating Primary Source Learning (PSL). PSL can be defined as an ‘Illustrated Help Menu’ aimed at assisting a user in learning the various functionalities of an application package. A user friendly application 'help demo' is one thing that help us to deliver great product and attract customers. A help demo is a must for any stamp application, through which we have a control over the way customers interpret our application. In addition to this,we are also able to provide a type of human-computer interface that uses windows that be minimized and maximized, without actually closing the underlying application program in the Mainframe Environment. Additionally we will also discuss about developing a web application in Mainframe using HTML in CICS.

SINGLE SIGN ON – INNOVATIVE MAINFRAME CICS APPLICATION

Abstract:
The authentication and authorization have been constant areas of concern to reduce password fatigue and security threats. Mainframe systems have been the most relied solution so far for bulk data management and processing. But when user friendliness needs to be incorporated with security, single sign on proves to be an effective quick fix for mainframe applications. In mainframes, we can implement SSO by using EIBTRMID and EIBTIME variables. These variables enable us to get the system terminal ID and time. When the session time expires, a login page opens if we request to traverse through a particular application. The login page is opened even when our terminal ID changes. We store the terminal ID in the table. Whenever the system generates a terminal ID, it is moved to host variable and updated in the table. In a new session , when the user requests for the application , the login page opens since the terminal ID is new and it does not match with the one in the table. When the same user tries to request for some other application within the same session and before the session expires, logging-in is not required as the terminal ID is the same. To add on to security of single sign on, we have amalgamated it with Single Sign Out which reinforces the authoritative aspects for an authenticated user. Embracing the application with Single Sign Out completes the circle assuring that the user is automatically signed out from the related applications once he logs out from any one of the applications.

Abstract:
Attractive interfaces and security aspects go hand in hand in modern day mobile and web applications. Hence we ventured out to implement these concepts in the mainframe CICS environment (known as BIG IRON). Circle interface provides a rich visual interface and also has an added advantage which helps the user to know the most recently and the most frequently accessed application/page. The features such as security image and password locking covers the security aspects of our application. This kind of application offers an efficient and secure package to the user which helps in achieving customer delight. Hence in this paper we have provided our inputs for developing user-friendly yet secure interface which enables mainframe to be used for various front end applications.
