-- New Book “Edge of Dawn” by Jim Muturi scholarly examines Jesus’ Olivet Discourse and bible prophecy through a fresh set of refreshing eyes.
Ever wondered where the world is going with the current global socio-political and economic crisis? Does it look like things are getting worse and with no end in sight to the wars, recession, crime rate, racism and bigotry? How about the resurgence of previously eliminated diseases? These and more gloomy stories dominate our evening news. But these same events had been foretold by bible prophets centuries ago.
The “Edge of Dawn” is a Christian living, self-help book geared towards injecting hope in a world that is reeling out of control. Jim Muturi examines Matthew 24 afresh and juxtapositions it against the book of Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, Acts and among others. His insights provide a fresh look at what Jesus really meant when he answered his disciples in Matthew 24 and whether what we are witnessing now in the news is an unfolding of these words.
The book also goes further and provides helpful insights into the fact that the current global crisis is actually paving the way, or setting the stage so to speak, for the ushering in of a new millennium of peace and prosperity. But while the bible does teach of glorious times ahead, especially for those that have vested their lives in God, troubling times lie ahead. This in and of itself has the potential to cause alarm and apprehension. But Jesus said that these are nothing but “birth pains”. At the end of every birth pain is a birth. In order to weather the storms that lay ahead, Jim Muturi has offered divine insights into biblical teachings geared at explaining why we suffer, the attitude we are to take, the powers behind today’s headlines and much more.
The target audience for this book is people struggling with answers and people who feel that they just can’t cope with the crisis. Regardless of what crisis one is undergoing, there is hope in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, since he is the only Person who overcame the current world system.
