Jan. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- The Law Offices of Michael S. Discioarro, LLC announced today the dismissal of charges against the client in an ACS child abuse case. The charges in the case of E.H. stemmed from an investigation that happened at the child's school. The school contacted ACS to report abuse and ACS began an investigation. " My client is very happy that this investigation is over and that ACS understands that no abuse has happened." Mr. Discioarro said.
He went on to say that many families in New York City are not that lucky. ACS starts thousands of investigations of New York City families each year. They will force families into parenting programs, demand drug tests and make false allegations against parents in order to build a case against innocent parents.
The reason for this is one of bureaucratic survival. As long as parents are under the ACS thumb, ACS can claim to be helping the children of NYC. The truth is that ACS is a highly dysfunctional agency that has had numerous children die in its custody. One of the most famous cases is that of Nixmary Brown in Brooklyn. ACS workers failed to see that she was abused and four ACS workers were indicted by the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office for various crimes.
This is a truly dangerous agency with no real leadership. The story about ACS abuses in New York City number in the tens of thousands. In every contact a parent has with ACS, they are threatened with the removal of their children. The Law Offices of Michael S.
