Torres Named Fighter Of The Year

Jan. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Hialeah Gardens, Florida, 1/8/13 -- Atemi Ryu Jujitsu fighter Efrain Torres has been named International Kickboxing Federation Point Kickboxing Junior Fighter of the year. Fourteen year old Torres has dominated the Florida IKF PKB and is an undefeated Bantamweight PKB kickboxer. Torres is also ranked third in the world in international rules kickboxing.

Point Kickboxing is semi contact kickboxing with no knockouts allowed. It is judge by a ten point must system just like regular kickboxing and points are awarded for most strikes landed. It is a great stepping stone for those thinking about becoming true amateur fighters or people looking to polish their combat skills.

Torres fights out of Atemi Ryu Jujitsu. Atemi Ryu Jujitsu is a system created by Doctor Philip Chenique and is the home of the teachings of the late Doctor Moses Powell. Fight team coaches Professor Tony Duarte and Sensei Carlos Cata have adapted the street survival techniques of Atemi Ryu Jujitsu and created a method of sports combat that rules the ring.

Jay Dezmen of the IKF PKB and Promoter of Championship Kickboxing Circuit says “Efrain continues to prove that he is the best junior fighter in Florida.
