Jan. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- SCORE, a national organization founded in 1964, has 370 chapters with over 13,000 volunteer business mentors in the United States and U.S. territories and is a resource of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).  The mission of SCORE is to help open businesses, assist existing businesses grow and to further the growth of jobs.  

SCORE volunteers use their business skills, knowledge and experience to help guide startups and existing businesses.  As a volunteer counselor/mentor in Northern Arizona, SCORE volunteers guide small businesses through market definition, finances and operational issues.

“Our goal is the development of small business in our communities.  We offer real-world advice to entrepreneurs and small business owners at no cost from thousands of trained and experienced professional counselors – both working and retired – with skills in nearly every type of business and business area,” said Larry Grossman, President of the Northern Arizona SCORE Chapter.

Entrepreneurs need not go it alone.  Today’s smart business decision is to take advantage of the no-cost specialized assistance, professional mentoring and personal business coaching that SCORE provides, and now you can be a part of this personally rewarding program.

As a SCORE volunteer business mentor you will be part of a team of local mentors throughout Northern Arizona with a variety of professional and executive-level skills and experience.  SCORE has offices in Prescott, the Verde Valley and Flagstaff to serve all of Northern Arizona.  SCORE provides customized, confidential business counseling from experienced, trained and trusted business mentors working individually and in teams.  SCORE counseling is provided face-to-face, by telephone or email.  Volunteers can speak to clients electronically or meet at one of the SCORE offices throughout Northern Arizona.
