Jan. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- This week mycostaricafarm brought in Green Techies to evaluate the land. They found abundant water with falls, several homesites and natural contours to build 'swails'.
Green pockets, where the mountain hills meet, hide an oasis of lush forest and waterfalls. Don the Ramp Pump guy is in talks to build a pump and mycostaricafarm is preparing to install 1" pipe to a homesite. The line has to be at least 550 feet and as much as 1,200 overall, to get water to the very top. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWVMnlHFFsY

A series of ponds will provide water throughout the farm, as natural contours of land provide venue for water trenches. Will take years to fully develop but the digging begins now.
Homesite considerations include a tree in a sheltered area, which may prove to be part of a house. Yoga station overlooking the ocean will be the first structure to be built.
Swails are basically dug out walking trails, where the organic matter on the bank supports the bulk of new plantings. Swails create microclimates, offering varying shade and water access. Complimentary plants act as Nitrogen Fixers to enhance the soil. See a photo here http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=520036344696347&am...
