SEATTLE, WA… January 4, 2013 - Egraphs, a six-month old sports and entertainment technology venture, announced today a new deal with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to create unique handwritten notes and audio messages from NBA players to fans. The deal doubles Egraphs’ footprint in the world of major sports with the NBA joining Major League Baseball as the first innovators offering fans this next-generation version of autographs.
Egraphs.com is a guaranteed way to personally connect with more than 70 NBA athletes who are now live on the web site. Whether it’s the Atlanta Hawks’ Josh Smith wishing a fan a happy birthday, the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry thanking fans for their support or Houston Rockets’ legend Hakeem Olajuwon reminiscing about a favorite Championship game, egraphs are as different and distinctive as the personalities of each NBA star.
“The NBA and its players are recognized as leaders in social media and for connecting players with fans,” said David Auld, CEO of Egraphs. “Through our partnership with the NBA, we hope to develop a stronger relationship with basketball enthusiasts and bring them even closer to their favorite NBA athletes.”
“Egraphs is an awesome way for me to connect with fans around the country,” said Steve Novak of the New York Knicks. “My favorite part is being able to record a fun voice message that is unique and personable.”
Fans initiate the process by sending an individualized message through egraphs.com to one of the players on egraphs' roster. The player opens the message and then uses a custom iPad app to respond, making the whole process interactive, fun and tailor-made for each recipient. Those receiving an egraph will get a 100% personalized and authenticated written and audio message – along with a hand-picked high-resolution digital photograph – that can be shared online and offline. Egraphs range in price from $25 to $115.

Egraphs sits at the cross-section of sports, entertainment and technology with its patent-pending thorough biometric verification process, which confirms every egraph’s signature and voice-print. The multi-factor authentication guarantees that fans are receiving a message directly from their favorite star. Egraphs engages fans by making technology more personal and making celebrities more accessible. Currently a licensee of Major League Baseball, Major League Baseball Advanced Media and the NBA, the company plans to move into other areas of sports and entertainment.
