A Gift that Brings Couples Closer With a Recipe for Travel & Fun As They Create a Masterpiece
It’s a gift that couples create together! Date nights at home while traveling afar thru images that when chosen is completed as a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Travel photographer, Amanda Brown, creates an art experience for relationships.
Listen in as Amanda Brown, a travel photographer from the States presently living in Spain and traveling to 10 countries this year explains this art experience during a conversation:
Amanda: So you know how I take hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of pictures but each month I only pick out ten for the limited edition print collection. And, because I am trying to think along the lines of what will best fit into homes in general, I don’t always show the edgy, or graphic, or true life ones. I always go with the ones that I think most everyone will like. Then I show my whole portfolio to someone and they always end up choosing something that I would have never guessed.
Reporter: Yes, so, what’s your idea?
Amanda: It’s a version of commissioned art that combines with a date night so it’s not just a present that you give to someone, but a present that you share in creating together. It’s not your typical wrap it box present. This one becomes so much more fun and you spend time together…a present that a lot of people forget about…and it continues for as long as it takes for to choose a favorite.
Reporter: I think you just made picking out a Valentine’s Day present a lot easier for a lot of men.
Amanda: Exactly! And it’s going to be so much fun. It is a members-only club of art lovers. Every two weeks whoever has joined the group gets the invitation and book. The book tells the stories of where I have been taking pictures, suggestions of tapas and drinks local to the region and a link to the latest catalogue of pictures. They get to create a stay-in date night to look, dream and travels to various regions of the world through the pictures. When they find the one they absolutely love they shout MINE! …like playing uno… and that image gets created into a piece of art only for them. They are the only ones, no one else gets it. Totally, completely one-of-a-kind!
Reporter: So you are going to post all of your pictures for them to look through and…
Reporter: You know you have just made life easier for every person who buys this and have made that one in their life that much happier.
Amanda: I know (smiling a huge smile). So you get how this isn’t just a piece of art. It isn’t just a present to give someone. That together they get to choose something that is going to make their home, and their relationship, and their life sweeter.
Reporter: I think you may have possibly struck gold. There have been times in the past when giving a gift like this would have made a huge difference for me, I just didn’t think about it. The person in your life wants to know that they are thought of, that you want to spend time with them and that they are special to you. You are managing to give people that opportunity in one present that turns into something that they will look at every single day…and hopefully that reminds them to keep giving each other those types of gifts forever.
MINE! came to life one night during a dream and is now a part of the Big World Adventure that Amanda is on. You see, this Adventure is not just about traveling, taking pictures and writing books. It is about relationships. The best candid photographs are taken of friends in different countries with whom Amanda has formed a tight bond. It’s about sharing what she has learned with you so that you can experience how people are living and dealing with life on the other side of the world. It is all about relationships.
