My Medicine TV HD speaks up about Obamacare, Medicare and Dementia

Jan. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The Arthritis Show had an unusual guest, Zoë A Lewis, MD, Internist  and Hospice and Palliative Medicine specialist to discuss dementia, the  impact of Obamacare, changes to Medicare for the elderly. Dr. Lewis is an internationally recognized author and speaker on Alzheimer’s disease and topics on care giving for those with a serious illness. Her books, “I hope they know….The Essential Handbook on Alzheimer’s Disease and Care,”  and the spanish translation are recognized by the National Alzheimer’s Association and National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

She is also  the producer and host of blogtalkradio’s Hope Through Knowledge with Zoë A. Lewis, M.D., Talk Radio For Caregivers, with her first show airing in 2008. She is going into her  5th year of programs dedicated to caregivers featuring recognized guests from AARP, NHPCO, many universities, recognized authors and individuals in the field of end of life care and caregiving.


Dr. Lewis was an elected fellow to the American College of Physicians, she is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is a former Harvard Medical School Clinical Instructor of Medicine.  Her dedicated website, http://zoealewis.com promotes education for end-of-life issues using the principle hope through knowledge, and encourages the dissemination of information to practitioners and families of those with a dementing illnesses.  She is in practice as a hospitalist at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
