Childs has vast experience of handling large commercial real estate loans and business loans during his tenure with the commercial lending/SBA department of the Banc of America. He worked with Banc of America from 1985, when he was just out of school, till 1992, when the bank laid off several employees as part of the bank mergers. Following this, Childs started his own credit restoration company and started helping people in repairing their credit profiles by using his own experiences of negotiating his way out of a serious debt situation in 1990. The credit restoration company was, however, sold by Childs in the summer of 2012.
