11th Annual 'Breaking the Sound Barrier' Ski Race - March 3, 2013 - Shawnee Peak

Jan. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Start waxing your skis for the 11th annual 'Breaking the Sound Barrier' ski race at Shawnee Peak (Auburn, ME) on Sunday, March 3, 2013. The race will benefit Hear ME Now! programming for children and adults with hearing loss, their families and their communities.

Teams of four racers will compete for the titles of Fastest team, Fastest Male and Female, Best Wipeout and more. Entry fee includes one full-day lift ticket the day of the race, race tshirt, BBQ lunch and two timed-runs down a modified slalom race course.

Collect pledges from friends and family to get time off your teams score. For every 10 dollars, a tenth of a second will be deducted from your teams score.

Hear ME Now! Maine's leading auditory oral education center is committed to providing support, resources, innovative education, audiologists, speech-language pathologists to children and adults with hearing loss.

Programs include home-based parent support and play groups, community based preschool programs, music programs, consultation contracts, summer programs and individualized listening and speech therapy.
